Solar Tint applies window film with water and baby shampoo so no harsh chemicals are used. Our installers begin by cleaning the glass with a razor to remove every speck of dirt and dust. Then the liner is peeled from the film to expose the adhesive. The adhesive is activated by water and then placed on the glass. Next, a squeegee is used to remove the water between the glass and film. Each piece of film is custom cut to fit the window. Finally, the installers clean the installed window film. Solar Tint’s 3M window film (with its pressure sensitive adhesive) can be removed without damaging your glass. We simply use a razor to take off the film. In some cases where the film has been on for a long time, we will soak the film in an ammonia solution before using the razor.
